Kingston Pen Tours Presents:

This fall, Kingston Pen Tours welcomes a series of outdoor movie screenings at Kingston Penitentiary, after dark! Bring your own chair and arrive early at this unique film experience.

Guests will also view a feature area of Kingston Penitentiary and experience a special presentation that relates to the screening. 




Movie Screenings


General Admission - $20 (Includes all fees and HST)

Doors open at 7pm with a special presentation at 7:15pm, followed by the movie at 8pm.
The event is outdoors, with an indoor concession available to guests.

Where is Kingston Penitentiary located?

Located at 560 King St W, Kingston, Ontario.

What is seating like?

We recommend that guests bring a blanket ot portable folding chair for maximum comfort.

Can I bring my purse or bag?

Only a small bag/purse will be permitted. No backpacks or large bags allowed. No outside food, beverages, drugs or weapons are permitted inside the attraction.

Will parking be available?

Parking is available at no charge onsite.

Is the event held indoors or outdoors?

Outdoors. Please dress according to the weather.

Will the movies offer closed captioned?

Yes, all movies will have closed captioning available.

Will washrooms be available?

Yes, washrooms are available onsite

Can I drop my child off to watch the movie?

All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Will food and beverage be available?

Yes, the Gift Shop will offer popcorn, candy, and soft drinks for sale. Be sure to grab a snack and drink before the movie begins! There is no intermission.

Can I film or record?

No audio or video recording is permitted without prior written approval by the St. Lawrence Parks Commission.

Can I bring my dog?

Please note that only service animals are permitted.

Is there a place available to lock my bicycle?

Yes, a bike rack is available on the northwest of the parking lot.

Can I bring a bottle of water?

Yes, guests are welcome to bring their own or purchase a reusable bottle before. There are water stations available. Tap water on site is non-potable.

Is smoking allowed onsite?

No smoking or vaping is allowed on site.

Can I bring my walker/wheelchair?

Yes, walkers and wheelchairs are allowed. There are 12 wheelchairs on site.

Will there be any screening of guests for COVID-19 upon arrival to ensure safety of other guests?

Guests are encouraged to self-assess their health and encouraged to not visit our attractions if there is any possibility that they may have contracted or have come into contact with COVID-19.
