Join us this fall at Kingston Penitentiary for Pumpkinferno 2024! Experience an enchanting outdoor walk through thousands of glowing, hand-carved pumpkins that highlight the site's historic architecture.

Kingston Pen Tour, part of the St. Lawrence Parks Commission, is seeking up to three food vendors to sell and serve food and beverages during the event.

Pumpkinferno runs select evenings from September 27 to October 30, 2024.

Vendors must arrive at Kingston Penitentiary by 6:30 p.m. and have their booth set up by 6:45 p.m. on each operating date. 

The event runs on the following evenings:

  • September 27, 28, 29
  • October 3, 4, 5, 6, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 17, 18, 19, 20, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30

Total operating evenings: 24. Booth setup will take place in late September before the first night on September 27, 2024.

Vendor Fee: $1000

Qualifications

Local Vendor

The vendor must be an Ontario-based food/beverage business and have the capability to set up a mobile restaurant with own independent water source.

Health & Safety

The vendor must be equipped with all items to safely store, prepare, and serve food and/or non-alcoholic beverages to the public. The vendor shall comply with all health and safety regulations in food handling and service to the public. The vendor must complete the food vendor safety form on the KFL&A Public Health Website no later than 30 days prior to the first operating date of the Event.

All Ages

All content must be suitable for an all-ages event.

Hand Washing

The vendor must have a permanent or temporary hand-washing station.

Selection Criteria

All vendors who submit via this online form will be reviewed by the Kingston Pen Tour selection committee. Vendors will be selected based on the following criteria:

  • Are the above qualifications met?
  • Are the vendor’s products a good fit for the event?
  • Does the vendor align with the St. Lawrence Parks Commission’s sustainability, equity, diversity, and inclusion goals?

Due Date

Applications are due by July 31, 2024. Only those chosen to proceed will be contacted for booking.

Confidential

This form is confidential in nature and will be viewed by the event manager and vendor selection committee at Kingston Pen Tours. The St. Lawrence Parks Commission (SLPC) is bound by regulations under FIPPA (Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act).

Agreement

Please note if selected you will be required to enter an agreement with the St. Lawrence Parks Commission and will be required to provide a copy of General Liability insurance, including the St. Lawrence Parks Commission as an additional insured.
